How to activate diffusers?
Setting up your diffuser is quick and easy. Start by removing the closed wooden cap from the glass bottle and replacing it with the open wooden cap, the one with the hole in the center. Then insert the reeds through the cap and into the fragrance. For best results, flip the reeds right away so both ends are saturated. Although the diffusion time of a reed diffuser is affected by many factors, typically you can smell the scent from the diffuser 1-2 days after use. And the fragrance gradually gets stronger in the days that follow.
How to use an oil diffuser?
Simply keep a plug-in diffuser on for a few hours day. Or, plug it in about 30 minutes before bedtime to give it enough time to disperse oils into the air. Use a diffuser as a natural air-freshener in the bathroom, basement, entryway, in the kitchen or just about anywhere. To prevent these issues, experts recommend using intermittent diffusion—running your diffuser for 30 to 60 minutes at a time with breaks in between. By following these best practices, you can enjoy the therapeutic benefits of essential oils while maintaining a safe and balanced environment. Each diffuser is made to last approximately 1 month (30 days) of use, with 400-600 uses per diffuser. We recommend purchasing a 3, 6, or 12 pack and subscribing to make it more affordable and so that you don’t worry about running out!
Do you put hot or cold water into a diffuser?
Warmer water tends to create a fuller mist while cold water can inhibit ultrasonic vibrations, therefore producing less mist. To extend the life of your diffuser, please be certain to use only 100% Pure Essential Oils. The ultrasonic waves in an ultrasonic diffuser work best with room temperature water. There’s no need to use hot water or to heat the water ahead of time. Cold water will produce less mist in the diffuser, so let refrigerated water sit out for a bit before loading it into the diffuser.
Can you leave a diffuser running overnight?
While it’s not recommended to diffuse essential oils overnight, you could leave a diffuser with plain water going overnight if you wish. Make sure it has a large enough reservoir to continue diffusing for that length of time. Some diffuser models also have sound or light functions that can be helpful at night. Is it ok to sleep with a diffuser on? While it’s safe to have an essential oil diffuser on during waking hours, you should actually turn it off while you’re asleep. That way, you won’t inhale too much of the essential oils and you also won’t run the risk of any unsafe electrical problems during the night.Running the diffuser for approximately 30 minutes before sleep and then turning it off represents the best practice. Diffusers with timers provide the best solutions for automatic shut-off.
