Can you use any oil in a NEOM mini pod?

Can I put any oil in my diffuser?

While both types can be used in diffusers, most aroma diffusers are designed specifically for use with pure essential oils. Active diffusers—such as nebulizing diffusers and ultrasonic diffusers—disperse essential oils more aggressively. In addition to emitting aromas, they spray small particles of oil into the air. While the droplets may be tiny, they can cause big problems for pets, ranging from skin irritation to neurological symptoms.Follow the 30:50:20 ratio when mixing scent notes – 30% top note (3 drops), 50% middle note (5 drops) and 20% base note (2 drops), label each new blend clearly. Essential oil blends perform best after ‘resting’ for a day or so, this will allow the oils to blend and harmonise fully.That’s why essential oils should not be ingested. Johns Hopkins also advises against using essential oil diffusers, small household appliances that create scented vapor. Diffusion in a public area or household with multiple members can affect people differently.Between 3 to 5 drops of an essential oil are recommended to use in a diffuser, if the diffuser’s size is 100 ml. So 3 drops is a standard amount that can be used as a trial, if you are using an aroma diffuser for the first time.Avoid inhaling undiluted oils directly, as this can lead to irritation. Diffuser safely: If using a diffuser, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and ensure that the space is well ventilated. Prolonged exposure to high concentrations of essential oils is associated with negative heart issues and lung symptoms.

What can I use to refill my diffuser?
You can also make your own reed diffuser refill at home using a lightweight, unscented base oil, and an essential oil of your choice. To do this simply use 30-50 drops of essential oil per ½ cup of base oil. Stir well, then insert your reeds and use as normal. Diffuser lifespans and longevity vary significantly by type, with reed diffusers lasting anywhere from a few weeks to several months and water-based diffusers typically lasting mere hours.A 50ml bottle using 3–4 reeds can fragrance a space for 1–2 months. Larger 100ml bottles, like those from Hotel Collection, usually employ 4–6 reeds and provide scent for 3–4 months. Larger diffusers, like those with a 500ml bottle, use 12 to 15 reeds and can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months.
