Can you use fragrance oil in a burner?
I use fragrance oils from Bulk Apothecary in a wax burner by putting some safflower oil in and then dropping in a few droplets. As always, don’t leave it unattended for stretches of time just like any other heat source and check occasionally for signs of scorching. Pour in about an ounce of warm water (I use distilled water and a squeeze bottle). Then add several drops of your favorite fragrant essential oil or eo mixture and light the candle. I warm the ceramic and water first so the little candle doesn’t have to do all the work and I get aroma more quickly.

What ingredients are in fragrance oils?
Fragrance oil ingredients Our fragrance oils are a combination of natural essential oils, synthetic aroma chemicals, solvents, and diluents. The final fragrance oils are never diluted, so each has a strong and concentrated aroma that doesn’t disappear when burned in a candle. Don’t use perfume in place of fragrance oils: Just like crayons, perfume is NOT meant to burn like our fragrance oils are. It will not throw well and it could clog your wick. Always use fragrance oils that are designed for candle making. We have nearly 400 fragrances to choose from and we are adding more each year!
