Are essential oils safe to breathe in?
Essential oils are highly concentrated, so inhaling them directly can irritate the respiratory tract. This may lead to symptoms such as coughing, nose and throat irritation or shortness of breath. We get this question quite often, and while it’s not an easy answer, i don’t recommend just throwing out old or expired essential oils. There may still be some uses for them which you may not have considered. If you do want to dispose of them, it should be done properly.Essential oils don’t “go bad” in the same way as perishable food. They don’t develop mold, and you won’t find them rotting in the bottle. However, they oxidize and degrade over time due to exposure to air, heat, and light.
Can essential oils help with sleep apnea?
